Registered Nurse 2 – Chemotherapy Infusion

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a Registered Nurse 2 to provide chemotherapy infusion services in Deerfield Beach. The RN will deliver safe, compassionate care to oncology patients, coordinating treatment plans and supporting patients and families throughout therapy.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and monitor vital signs and symptoms.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response, physician orders, and clinical condition.
• Review and report diagnostic test results to evaluate patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and chemotherapy infusions.
• Consider age and cultural factors when delivering care and providing education.
• Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Administer medications safely, record all treatments, and comply with regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while respecting HIPAA.
• Assist with discharge planning and operate medical equipment safely.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff and uphold university policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology or infusion therapy.
• Learning agility, teamwork, and technical proficiency.
