About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient‑centered care in its clinic setting in Doral. This full‑time position involves direct nursing care, coordination with physicians, and support for patient discharge planning.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Review and report diagnostic test results to evaluate patient condition.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications safely and maintain accurate medication records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Utilize resources for discharge planning and coordinate transitions of care.
• Prioritize assignments, adapt to changing work demands, and operate medical equipment.
