Registered Dental Hygienist (Full-Time or Part-Time)

About the role

A private group practice in Appleton is looking for a patient-focused registered dental hygienist to work alongside Dr. Jacci Belter. The position is ideally full-time, Monday to Thursday, but part-time roles are also considered. The office suits someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional care, thrives in a collaborative setting and wants to help patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health.

Key responsibilities

• Provide preventive dental care, including prophylaxis, examine patients for signs of oral disease and take X-rays
• Perform periodontal treatments such as scaling and root planing
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and recommend improvements
• Help create and maintain treatment plans for patients
• Keep detailed, accurate patient records and notes and ensure timely follow-up
• Stay up to date with the latest dental practices and technologies
• Follow infection control procedures and build positive, trusting relationships with patients

Required profile

• Valid dental hygienist license in Wisconsin (required)
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental procedures
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills focused on patient care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail, organization and time management

Required skills

• Comfortable with digital dental technologies, including X-ray systems and electronic medical records
• Knowledge of Open Dental software is a plus
