Registered Dental Assistant – Clinical Affairs (Levels I-III)

About the role

Join the Texas A&M College of Dentistry’s Clinical Affairs Department as a Registered Dental Assistant. The position supports a high‑volume, fast‑paced clinical environment, providing patient care and assisting dental professionals across Levels I‑III.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures.
• Assist during clinical procedures and operate dental radiographic equipment.
• Schedule patients, retrieve charts, and handle financial transactions.
• Maintain infection‑control and aseptic standards throughout the clinic.
• Support students and faculty by providing procedural explanations and guidance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional experience required for Levels II (2 years) and III (4 years).
• Registered Dental Assistant license in Texas.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Dental terminology.
• Use of dental instruments and materials.
• Operation of dental radiographic equipment.
• Infection‑control and aseptic techniques.
• CPR certification.
