Regional Property Manager – Chicago

About the role

The Regional Property Manager will lead a portfolio of Greystar’s residential communities in the Chicago region. Reporting to senior leadership, the role is accountable for driving operational excellence, financial performance and tenant satisfaction across multiple properties.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect properties and review financial, market and operational reports to ensure goals are met.
• Develop and execute action plans that improve asset performance and profitability.
• Collaborate with Community Managers and regional support services to align on performance targets.
• Implement local and national operational initiatives and ensure adoption of new protocols.
• Manage budgets, monitor financial targets and prepare regular performance reports for ownership.
• Foster positive tenant relationships, address concerns promptly and run retention programs to reduce turnover.
• Work with leasing teams to create marketing strategies that maintain optimal occupancy.
• Oversee maintenance programs to keep properties well‑maintained and compliant with regulations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to oversee and improve the performance of a multi‑property portfolio.
• Strong financial acumen with experience preparing and presenting performance metrics.
• Excellent communication skills for tenant relations and stakeholder collaboration.
• Proven track record of implementing operational initiatives and change management.
• Experience coordinating leasing, marketing and maintenance activities.
