Regional Medical Scientific Director – Thoracic Malignancies

About the role

The Oncology Regional Medical Scientific Director will engage with external scientific leaders to provide balanced, factual information on thoracic malignancies and support investigator‑sponsored and company‑sponsored clinical trials. This position has no sales objectives and focuses on scientific exchange and education.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with national and regional scientific leaders.
• Conduct peer‑to‑peer scientific discussions and serve as the medical contact for the company.
• Support Company‑Sponsored Trials by clarifying scientific foundations, aiding patient enrollment, and addressing investigator questions.
• Evaluate potential investigators and recommend study sites to Global Clinical Trial Operations.
• Respond to scientific inquiries from investigators and scientific leaders.
• Provide education and training on the company’s research strategies and study processes.

Required profile

• MD, PhD, PharmD, or DNP with at least 3 years of oncology experience.
• Deep clinical or research expertise in thoracic malignancies and immuno‑oncology.
• Ability to conduct doctoral‑level scientific discussions with external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and related pharmaceutical regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
