Regional HR Manager East - US

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd., a Canadian-owned manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is looking for a Regional HR Manager for the East US region. The role oversees HR activities across several manufacturing sites, supporting local HR Business Partners, handling employee and labour relations, managing training and organizational development, and coaching leaders in line with the company's strategy and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve employee relations issues in partnership with site leaders and the local HR coordinator.
• Work with site leaders and operation directors to design and implement HR solutions that improve manufacturing business performance.
• Partner with Corporate HR to champion, run and monitor corporate programs and initiatives.
• Equip managers with the tools and training to perform better and help leaders complete individual development plans.
• Support talent review and succession planning with a consultative approach.
• Develop and deliver leadership training from plant managers to supervisors with Corporate Training.
• Work with the recruiting team to improve selection tools and criteria and to recruit locally.
• Cultivate internal talent, take part in promotion decisions and build local recruiter relationships.
• Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, state and local employment laws and regulations.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in Human Resources Management; HR certification preferred.
• 5+ years of HR business partnering experience plus 3 years in leadership management.
• Previous manufacturing or industry experience is an advantage; distribution, retail and union experience are also noted.
• Proficiency in federal, state or provincial employment law and human rights legislation.
