Regional Director of Operations in Training

About the role

The Regional Director of Operations in Training will oversee a portfolio of grocery stores across Southern California, Nevada, or Arizona, guiding Store Directors on daily operations, sales, and customer service. This on‑site field position includes travel throughout the assigned region and prepares the incumbent for full‑time regional leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise store management teams, set accountabilities, and provide performance feedback.
• Maintain cost and labor controls, develop budgets, and manage profit‑and‑loss statements.
• Support new store openings, staff training, and loss‑prevention initiatives.
• Implement corporate merchandising strategies and monitor store expenses for profitability.
• Conduct store visits, evaluate staff performance, and analyze operational data.
• Recruit, train, and develop Store Directors and department managers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant grocery‑industry experience, including supervisory and operational responsibilities.
• Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and drive customer loyalty.
