Regional Collections Associate (Remote)

About the role

The Regional Collections Associate is responsible for managing collection activities across a portfolio of accounts in a designated region. Working remotely, you will communicate with customers to secure payments, resolve billing disputes, and protect Ryder’s financial interests.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers to negotiate payments, service cessations, and contract defaults.
• Analyze billing disputes, deductions, and root causes to facilitate resolution.
• Provide regular updates to Finance, Operations, Sales, and Rental leadership on receivables and bad‑debt forecasts.
• Participate in projects and committees aimed at improving collections, accounts receivable, and customer service processes.
• Develop documentation and user manuals as directed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance preferred.
• At least one year of commercial collections experience and two years of accounting/financial experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote environment.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of commercial collections processes.
