Regional Advisor II (Central Texas)

About the role

The Regional Advisor II supports Texas A&M University by creating and executing admission, financial aid, and outreach strategies that attract prospective students across Central Texas. The role includes mentoring staff, leading select recruitment programs, and traveling extensively within the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement admission, financial aid, and early outreach plans to increase student enrollment.
• Mentor and train recruitment staff and lead specific recruitment initiatives.
• Travel throughout Central Texas, including evenings and weekends, to represent the university at events and training sessions.
• Coordinate large recruiting events at Texas A&M College Station and produce analytical reports on recruitment activities.
• Maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other outreach partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• At least two years of experience in student services, admissions, recruitment, or financial aid.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work beyond regular hours.
• Preferred: Master’s degree, bilingual Spanish, and additional experience in higher‑education admissions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using student information systems such as Banner, AIS, Howdy, MOSES, SLATE, or TAMUDocs.
