Receptionist (Full‑Time & Part‑Time)

About the role

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Broussard is seeking friendly and reliable receptionists to join our front‑desk team. The role supports both full‑time (Monday‑Friday) and part‑time (weekends) schedules, providing the first point of contact for patients, families, and staff in a psychiatric care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Answer the switchboard and route calls with professional etiquette.
• Greet visitors, check‑in patients, and manage appointment schedules.
• Perform basic clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and handling mail.
• Maintain a calm and courteous demeanor in a high‑traffic, sometimes stressful environment.
• Assist administrative personnel with ad‑hoc projects as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• At least one year of experience in a general receptionist or front‑desk role.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Comfort working with diverse populations, including adults and seniors.
• Good physical and mental health, demonstrated by an empathetic attitude and personal integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard computer applications.
• Current CPR certification.
• Completion of an Oceans‑approved behavioral health de‑escalation program.
