R&D Electrical Engineering Intern

About the role

The R&D Electrical Engineering Intern will support the design, development, testing and verification of electrical and electromechanical systems used in medical devices for the Interventional Urology market. The intern will work closely with electrical, mechanical, software and test engineers on new product development and sustaining activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, testing, verification and validation of electrical and electromechanical medical‑device systems in line with regulatory standards.
• Perform hands‑on problem solving, including soldering, PCB assembly and rework.
• Operate laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, data‑acquisition and environmental test rigs to evaluate product performance.
• Document lab work, record test results and maintain clear project files.
• Support prototype development, circuit evaluation and data analysis.

Required profile

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (sophomore level or higher).
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Basic programming experience in MATLAB, Python, C/C++ or LabVIEW (preferred).
• Ability to conduct testing, analyse data and communicate findings in written reports and presentations.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.
