Quality Inspector – Level 4 (MESA)

About the role

Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced Quality Inspectors to support the E-6B maintenance program and other aerospace projects at our Lake Charles, LA facility. The position is part of the FabCenter team and may be filled for any shift.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect detail parts and assemblies such as wings, flight controls, floor panels, and trailers.
• Re‑check work after adjustments or repairs to ensure compliance.
• Monitor and verify special processes including heat treat, shot peening, chemical conversion coating, painting, priming, plating, and welding.
• Operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) on a daily basis.
• Coordinate, update, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a Quality Inspector in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Willingness to work any shift and travel up to 10% of the time.
• Ability to obtain relocation assistance if needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CMM equipment.
• Knowledge of heat treat, shot peening, chemical conversion coating, painting, priming, plating, and welding processes.
• Strong inspection and measurement techniques for aerospace components.
• Familiarity with QMS documentation and policy maintenance.
