Quality Inspector

About the role

Kyocera AVX is looking for a Quality Inspector in Erie. The inspector ensures products meet the company's defined quality standards, works with internal and external customers and suppliers to improve quality and reliability, and uses output data and test results to recommend process improvements. The position reports to the Quality Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Read and understand process specifications, complete process paperwork and perform assigned testing and other operational tasks.
• Carry out incoming inspection of materials, in-process inspections, final inspections and first article inspections.
• Support the disposition and control of MRB contents.
• Support RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) activities.
• Support calibration and verification processes, including working with outside calibration services.
• Support RMA processes by inspecting returns, collaborating on failure analysis and recommending improvements.

Required profile

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 1+ years of incoming, in-process and final inspections, including first article inspections, preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively across the supply chain and to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, organized and self-motivated, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Team player who is accountable to internal customers.
• ITAR compliance requires U.S. citizenship.
