Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

About the role

KYOCERA AVX Corporation is hiring a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Erie. The supervisor analyzes customer demand and creates work orders each day according to facility capacity, keeping on-time delivery and balancing the line to meet customer due dates. The role also coordinates production plans efficiently to reduce in-process inventory and downtime on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Release job orders and provide closeout analysis
• Scheduling: check for capacity issues and give feedback to the planning manager and supervisors
• Work with operations to obtain materials for production and resolve delays
• Set and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels for production
• Reschedule daily for priorities and expedite to meet customer needs
• Help forecast and recommend actions to meet customer requirements
• Work with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, QC and Materials to ensure on-time delivery
• Monitor inventory accuracy and implement changes where needed

Required profile

• 3+ years in a previous manufacturing planning or scheduling position
• Bachelor's degree required (Supply Chain Management, Business Management or similar)

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
