Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer will ensure that manufacturing processes comply with ISO/IATF 16949 standards, drive continuous improvement, and act as the primary liaison for customer quality issues. This role involves developing control plans, leading quality technicians, and coordinating corrective actions across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Review and update Control Plans, prepare reports, presentations, and work instructions.
• Maintain process compliance with ISO/IATF 16949 and oversee PPAP documentation.
• Lead, train, and coordinate quality technicians and develop procedures.
• Interact directly with customers to address complaints, improvement opportunities, and engineering changes.
• Analyze customer complaints, develop countermeasures, and track corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross‑departmental meetings to follow up on corrective actions and quality issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Required skills

• Control plan development and CORE TOOL usage.
• Statistical tools: SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA.
• Knowledge of ISO/IATF 16949 standards and blueprint reading.
• Problem‑solving techniques: 8D, FTQ, scrap analysis, 5S, 5WH.
• Action‑plan creation, Gantt scheduling, and database management.
