Quality Engineer – GPS (Manufacturing)

About the role

The Quality Engineer – GPS supports manufacturing operations by driving problem‑solving, containment, and corrective actions. Working in an engine component plant, you will use creativity and independent judgment to reduce quality issues that affect production and business results.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day quality needs of manufacturing.
• Analyze data, determine root causes, and develop implementation plans to resolve quality, assembly, or throughput issues.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to identify and eliminate quality problems.
• Develop and maintain quality work instructions.
• Ensure effective containment of non‑conforming product and coordinate repair/rework activities.
• Communicate quality concerns clearly across teams.
• Support adherence to the Spring Hill Quality System.
• Be available to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or internal GM candidate.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
