Quality Auditor

About the role

The Quality Auditor ensures product quality by collaborating with operations, continuous improvement, and engineering teams. The role focuses on containment of defects, managing customer returns, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with management and supervisory personnel to resolve non‑conformance issues.
• Contain known or suspect defect events to minimize defect escapes.
• Manage customer RMA inventory and oversee appropriate product rework.
• Provide guidance to the manufacturing floor and lead investigations according to SOPs.
• Author quality system documents as directed by Quality Management.
• Drive improvement projects to increase throughput of non‑conforming inventory processes.
• Facilitate special projects, customer‑specific projects, 5S initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Communicate status of work and projects to the Quality Manager and team members.
• Perform inspection, containment, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) duties.
• Support safety and food‑safety programs by identifying hazards and reporting incidents.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in a related industry or discipline.
• Minimum 6 months of parts inspection or auditing experience.
• Basic understanding of quality principles and practices.
• Ability to make decisions under guidance of the Quality Supervisor.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work cooperatively with all team members.
• Capability to perform gauge measurements (training provided).
• Ability to read technical drawings and differentiate colors.
• Strong multitasking skills.
