Production Operator

About the role

As a Production Operator at Alstom, you will work on manufacturing lines that build vehicles and components for rail transport. You will handle materials, set up equipment and ensure production follows safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain production areas and equipment.
• Perform manufacturing tasks as scheduled by the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
• Follow work instructions for all operations.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the production process.
• Identify parts and promptly report any deviations or quality concerns to the Team Lead.
• Pack finished vehicles and/or parts for shipment and complete tally sheets when required.
• Adhere to 5S, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and perform self‑inspections.
• Maintain special process qualifications (torquing, crimping, sealant, riveting) as required.
• Perform all assembly tasks and other manufacturing requirements as instructed.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to quality, effective teamwork and clear communication.
• Proficiency in the local language for daily operations and collaboration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain special process certifications (torquing, crimping, sealant, riveting).

Required skills

• Torquing (certified).
• Crimping (electrical, certified).
• Sealant application (trained and certified).
• Riveting (trained and certified).
• Use of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• Knowledge of 5S, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards.
