Quality Assurance Technician

About the role

The Quality Assurance Technician ensures that Nestlé Health Science products are manufactured in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and product specifications. Acting as the quality expert on the production floor, the technician guides colleagues on cGMP and Good Documentation Practices to support timely product release and continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑process testing verifications and submit daily analytical and microbiology samples to quality control.
• Conduct Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) inspections and approve pre‑start‑up activities such as line clearance and equipment checks.
• Review batch documentation, production logbooks, and release batch records to ensure real‑time compliance with SOPs, GDPs, and cGMPs.
• Discuss errors with line personnel, perform daily compliance audits, and participate in cross‑functional shift review meetings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; 1‑3 years of manufacturing experience with a focus on quality assurance preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to follow Nestlé’s Life Saving Rules.
• English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb repeatedly and work in environments with powders, allergens, and chemicals.

Required skills

• Basic computer knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience with manufacturing equipment functionality and quality assurance systems.
• Familiarity with enterprise software such as SAP, Oracle, AS400, PQM, and Captiva.
• Ability to operate digital devices (computer, iPad) for data entry and documentation.
