Quality Assurance Intern

About the role

Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor, is looking for a Quality Assurance Intern in Milwaukee. The intern supports the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams with daily plant operations and quality-related activities, learning regulatory, customer and Saputo quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the QA and QC teams with daily plant operations and quality activities.
• Assist with product evaluations, inspections, testing and documentation to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.
• Take part in quality improvement projects focused on manufacturing processes, product quality and operational efficiency.
• Help collect, organize and analyze quality data to identify trends and support decisions.
• Assist with sanitation, GMP, HACCP and food safety program verification activities.
• Support internal audits, process reviews and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, laboratory and quality teams.
• Prepare reports, presentations and project updates for the Quality team.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience.
• Interest in food manufacturing, quality assurance and food safety systems.
• Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Self-motivated, able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team.
• Professionalism, reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail and punctuality.
• Ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of computer programs such as Excel and Word.
• Effective communication.
