A&P Aircraft Mechanic (Milwaukee)

About the role

Freight Runners Express / Air Charter Express (FRE/ACE), a Part 135 airline operating in Milwaukee for 40 years, is hiring A&P Aircraft Mechanics at General Mitchell International Airport. Multiple shifts are available, including four-day weeks and a second-shift premium. All airframe and engine work is done in-house.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine scheduled maintenance and inspection of aircraft
• Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals
• Complete all necessary electronic record keeping
• Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs to minimize aircraft downtime
• Troubleshoot and fix electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and powerplant issues
• Install electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and structural components and accessories by hand and power tools
• Work as part of a team to complete projects

Required profile

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate
• US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States, able to travel internationally without restriction
• Able to pass criminal background checks and an FAA/DOT pre-employment drug test
• Able to obtain airport security credentials, including FBI/CHRC clearance
• Valid driver's license
• Prior Embraer, Saab, Dash 8, ATR or Dornier 328 experience preferred but not required; supervisory or RII experience preferred but not required
