QC Inspector - FARO Dimensional Inspection

About the role

Fullcircle is seeking an experienced QC Inspector in Conroe to ensure products meet quality standards before reaching customers. The role focuses on precision dimensional inspection using FARO portable CMM equipment (arm and/or laser tracker), identifying defects and dimensional non-conformities and ensuring compliance with company specifications, engineering drawings and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision dimensional inspections with the FARO Arm/Laser Tracker and software such as PolyWorks, FARO CAM2 and Verisurf, verifying parts against CAD models and engineering drawings
• Develop, run and maintain FARO inspection routines for first article inspection (FAI), in-process checks and final part verification
• Generate and interpret inspection reports, deviation reports and point-cloud/color-map comparisons to CAD
• Inspect raw materials, in-process items and finished products, and use conventional tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) alongside FARO measurements
• Conduct visual inspections for defects such as cracks, deformations and surface imperfections
• Read GD&T on technical drawings and document non-conformities according to company procedures
• Work with engineering and production teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions
• Maintain and calibrate FARO equipment, keep inspection records and support internal and external audits

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in quality control, metrology or CMM/FARO operation strongly preferred
• 1-3+ years of hands-on experience operating a FARO Arm or FARO Laser Tracker
• 3-5 years of experience in quality control or a similar role, preferably in manufacturing or production

Required skills

• FARO hardware and inspection software (PolyWorks, CAM2, Verisurf)
• GD&T and ability to build inspection plans from engineering drawings and CAD models
• Quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100 where applicable
• MS Office and quality management software; SPC or CMM data software a plus
