QA Tester Functional Junior

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Functional QA Tester to join Stefanini’s software quality team. The role focuses on ensuring that applications meet functional requirements and maintain high quality through systematic testing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and quality.
• Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to understand software requirements and design appropriate test cases.
• Perform functional testing to confirm that software meets specified requirements.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Participate in the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.
• Provide timely and accurate reports on test progress, coverage, and defect metrics to project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience as a Functional QA Tester or in a similar testing role.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with functional testing, regression testing, and test automation concepts.
• Understanding of agile development practices and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
