Purchasing / Supply Chain Coordinator

About the role

McWane Ductile, a manufacturer of ductile iron pipe and poles founded in 1926, is hiring a Purchasing/Supply Chain Coordinator in Provo, Utah. The position compiles information and records to prepare, track and fulfill purchase orders for materials and services, and reports to the Purchasing Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Confirm purchase orders with vendors to ensure receipt of the PO, correct pricing and the estimated date of delivery.
• Track outstanding POs that have not been received by the estimated delivery date.
• Field general purchasing calls and interact with vendors and departments on procurement procedures and order status.
• Review customer information with a third-party compliance company to ensure compliance with corporate purchasing and EHS policies, keeping records up to date.
• Reconcile and process receiving reports, vendor invoices and other procurement documents.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED and 2 years of experience directly related to the duties.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, procedures and documentation.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, with a high level of integrity.
• Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Working conditions

• Full-time hours, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with additional hours as needed and a schedule subject to change; weekend work as needed, up to one Saturday per month.
• Office and warehouse environments, which may be hot, cold, dusty and noisy; protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats may be required.
• Lifting up to 30 pounds and stooping; professional references, background checks and a pre-employment drug screen are required.
