Purchasing Specialist

About the role

SLB New Energy & Industrial is looking for a motivated Purchasing Specialist to support its Data Center infrastructure solutions business. The role focuses on daily purchasing activities within a manufacturing or distribution environment, ensuring compliance with procedures and timely execution of orders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare purchase orders (POs) in the system as directed by supply chain management.
• Ensure POs are created before commitment and that goods receipt is performed within three days of delivery.
• Track supplier order acknowledgements and transmit approved POs with supporting documents.
• Participate in planning reviews and align operations with production teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve lead time, reduce cost, and enhance on‑time delivery.
• Support quality control by communicating non‑conformance reports to suppliers.
• Prepare return documentation and manage exception messages such as reschedules and cancellations.
• Assist accounts payable and warehouse functions in resolving receipt and invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure adherence to SLB‑approved supplier agreements and contracts.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow purchasing procedures.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers, production, and quality control teams.
• Proactive mindset for identifying process improvements.
• Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple orders.
