Pulmonologist – Outpatient Specialist

About the role

AdvantageCare Physicians is seeking an outpatient Pulmonologist to provide high‑quality care to adult patients with respiratory conditions across the New York metropolitan area. The physician will join a growing network of primary and specialty care offices, delivering compassionate, patient‑centered treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct consultations and diagnose a wide range of respiratory diseases.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, including plethysmography and spirometry.
• Administer treatments such as oxygen therapy and manage conditions like asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, and pulmonary infections.
• Document medical histories, examination results, and maintain accurate electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, high‑quality care.

Required profile

• MD or DO with completion of an internal medicine residency and a pulmonary fellowship (or combined pulmonary‑critical care fellowship).
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine.
• Current, unrestricted New York State medical license (or eligibility).
• DEA registration and Medicare/NY Medicaid enrollment (or eligibility).
• Strong oral and written communication skills and a patient‑focused attitude.
