Public Relations and Social Media Intern 2027

About the role

The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and its adjacent venue, The Momentary, are hiring a Public Relations and Social Media Intern for 2027, reporting to the Head of Public Relations and Communications. The internship gives students or recent graduates hands-on experience in a 360-degree public relations practice, covering press releases, social media content, media pitching and research. It is on-site in Bentonville, Arkansas, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a start date of January 25, 2027 and an end date of April 30, 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Track and create weekly media reports, write media alerts and press releases
• Create social media content and submit events to community calendars
• Write occasional articles or blog posts and support social media strategy with research, posts and evaluation
• Help develop media plans and host onsite media and production teams
• Represent the PR and Social Media teams at staff interviews and staff events

Required profile

• Enrolled in an accredited program or graduated from one within the past three years (bachelor's or master's hours)
• Ability to work at least 15 hours per week (up to 20 for undergraduates, up to 25 for graduates)
• Valid driver's license and willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement
• Eligibility to work in the United States

Required skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with using computers and the Internet for research and communications
• Ability to accept and synthesize constructive critique

What we offer

• Pay of $12 for high school interns, $13 for undergraduate students and $14 for graduate students
• Schedule of up to 15, 20 or 25 hours per week depending on level
• Housing is not guaranteed and depends on funding; if offered, it is taxable income
