Public Health Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Public Health Nurse to join our health department in Michigan. The role involves delivering high‑level public health nursing services to individuals, families and the community, working independently under general supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and maintain health through teaching, counseling and coordination of medical and hospital care.
• Participate in community group planning and health‑related programming.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reports.
• Perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current registration as a nurse in the State of Michigan or a temporary permit pending final registration.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and personal vehicle for county business.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position.
