Psychiatric Registered Nurse – Night & Day Shifts

About the role

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, evidence‑based medical care to residents receiving treatment for substance use and co‑occurring mental health disorders. Working on both night (6 p‑6:30 a) and day (6 a‑6:30 p) shifts, the RN is a key member of a trauma‑informed, multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications accurately, reconcile medication administration records, and monitor for side effects.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute to holistic care plans.
• Document nursing care promptly and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with external hospitals, providers, and families to facilitate continuity of care.

Required profile

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing, preferably in residential treatment settings.
• Ability to work rotating night and day 12‑hour shifts.
• Commitment to trauma‑informed, person‑centered care.
