About the role

Renewal Falls Recovery Center is seeking a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADAC) to join its clinical team in Iowa City. The role focuses on delivering person‑centered, evidence‑based substance use disorder treatment and supporting patients on their path to lasting recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients with substance use disorders.
• Complete clinical assessments, screenings, and admission paperwork in line with credentialing standards.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
• Facilitate evidence‑based, recovery‑oriented counseling groups.
• Provide education on relapse prevention, coping skills, and recovery planning.

Required profile

• Current certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADAC).
• Passion for substance use disorder treatment and person‑centered care.
• Ability to work collaboratively with medical, clinical, peer, and case‑management staff.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to ethical behavioral health practice.
