About the role

Thrive Now Recovery Centers in Iowa City is seeking an experienced Clinical Director to lead its behavioral health program. This senior, full‑time position offers a $10,000 sign‑on bonus and the chance to shape high‑quality, evidence‑based treatment for substance use and co‑occurring mental health disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to all clinical staff.
• Oversee daily clinical operations, including caseload management, treatment planning, documentation, and group schedules.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, Iowa HHS, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and internal policies.
• Monitor patient outcomes, drive quality‑improvement initiatives, and support census growth.
• Collaborate with Executive Director, Medical Director, Director of Nursing, and corporate leadership to align clinical practice with organizational goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health or substance‑use treatment.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, onboard, and develop clinical teams.
• Strong knowledge of Iowa licensing requirements and regulatory standards.
• Proven track record of fostering a patient‑centered, accountable culture.
