Project Manager, Gender Programs and Research

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Global Institute is seeking a full‑time Project Manager to lead the Collaborative for Community Advancement and Resilience (CCAR). This role will translate strategic plans into coordinated actions, overseeing multi‑country research, policy, and engagement initiatives that advance gender equity.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope and objectives in partnership with senior leadership.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
• Monitor progress, adjust schedules, and ensure timely delivery of program components.
• Coordinate multi‑country partnerships, academic events, and public‑facing engagements.
• Manage project staff, provide orientation, and enforce university policies and internal controls.
• Document all project activities, maintain secure files, and produce status reports for leadership.
• Provide capacity‑building support to grantees and consortium partners, facilitating learning exchanges and developing resource materials.
• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and institutional effectiveness standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex, multi‑stakeholder projects, preferably in research or gender equity contexts.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, partners, and diverse teams across countries.
• Knowledge of compliance, reporting, and internal control frameworks within a university setting.
