Project Manager – Food Equipment Projects

About the role

Join a stable global manufacturer of industrial food processing and packaging equipment as a Project Manager. You will lead high‑visibility food equipment projects from the initial quote through installation and start‑up, ensuring successful delivery for major food producers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from quote review through shipment, installation, and closeout.
• Review specifications, purchase orders, guarantees, and project costs to identify issues early.
• Maintain project schedules, sales orders, and updates in SAP and Microsoft Project.
• Coordinate external vendors for specialized equipment, pricing, schedules, and approvals.
• Track progress through engineering, manufacturing, testing, shipping, and start‑up phases.
• Provide regular status updates to internal teams and customers.
• Handle scope changes, punch lists, warranty support, and project closeout analysis.

Required profile

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of project management experience in the food industry.
• Background working with industrial equipment, machinery, or processing systems.
• Ability to travel 10%–20%; bilingual is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Experience using Microsoft Project.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to read mechanical, layout, and electrical drawings.
• Strong vendor coordination, cost tracking, and customer communication.
