Project Manager – Engineered Pump & Wastewater Equipment

About the role

Gulf States Engineering seeks a Project Manager to lead engineered-to-order pump and wastewater equipment projects from order receipt through delivery, invoicing, and closeout. The role serves as the primary liaison among customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pump and wastewater equipment projects from order receipt to final commissioning and closeout.
• Review specifications, contracts, and purchase orders to confirm scope alignment.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules covering engineering, production, procurement, delivery, and field service.
• Coordinate with sales during handoff to define scope and customer expectations.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, consulting engineers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Utilize ERP and CRM systems for documentation, cost tracking, change orders, and status reporting.
• Identify and mitigate project risks such as supply‑chain constraints and production delays.
• Prepare invoices, track billings, manage retainage, and reconcile finances at project closeout.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing engineered‑to‑order projects in industrial equipment or similar sectors.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and maintain customer relationships.
• Excellent organizational and risk‑management skills.
