Project Manager – Data Center Construction

About the role

Black Box is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead the construction of the largest data center in the United States. You will own the full project lifecycle, applying rigorous PMO standards, safety protocols, and cost controls to deliver a high‑visibility, industry‑defining build.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day construction management using established PMO methodologies.
• Develop, maintain, and track detailed project schedules.
• Oversee all phases of execution, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and budget.
• Identify, assess, and manage change events through best‑practice change management.
• Enforce safety protocols, quality standards, and compliance with building codes.
• Apply construction accounting principles for cost forecasting, budget analysis, and financial reporting.
• Manage contracts (lump sum, cost‑plus, GMP, design‑build, time & material) and monitor vendor performance.
• Serve as primary liaison for internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale construction projects, preferably in data center or technology infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of PMO standards, safety regulations, and construction codes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work onsite full‑time in Holly Ridge, LA.
