Project Manager - Construction

About the role

F.H. Paschen, a construction company with over 115 years of experience, is hiring a Project Manager in Pompano Beach. The manager oversees Building, Infrastructure and Healthcare projects, leads the project team and handles projects for private and public owners under delivery methods such as lump sum, negotiated and design-build. It is a full-time managerial position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage construction contracts and/or work orders and supervise the project team assigned to them
• Collaborate with other Project Managers in the office and monitor Superintendents' performance
• Create and collaborate on work proposals, and act as administrative point of contact for the owner
• Negotiate financial disputes and change orders with owners, and document and negotiate changes affecting completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners
• Create and maintain project cost reports, and develop field quality assurance and quality control plans with the Superintendent
• Collaborate on project safety plans and manage MBE/WBE subcontracting and EEO/Affirmative Action contract requirements
• Travel locally or nationally and report to various work locations as assigned

Required profile

• B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering, or 10 years of construction experience
• At least 6 years managing construction projects
• Job Order Contract experience preferred; healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel at once

Required skills

• Knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting and cash flow management
• Proficiency in project management and scheduling software
• Great communication and organizational skills
