Project Manager - Concrete

About the role
Meister Concrete, LLC is looking for an experienced Concrete Project Manager to lead commercial and multi‑family structural concrete projects across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. The role spans the entire project lifecycle, from pre‑construction planning through final close‑out, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Manage multiple concrete projects from contract award to completion.
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and schedules to define scope and risks.
- Coordinate startup, mobilization, material deliveries, equipment, concrete placements, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and track budgets, cost reports, billing, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Work with superintendents and foremen to plan daily/weekly activities, sequencing, and productivity.
- Attend project meetings and communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Identify delays, design conflicts, and scope changes; issue notices and change‑order requests.
- Oversee concrete mix designs, testing, reinforcing steel, embeds, formwork, and pumping.
- Monitor schedules and develop recovery plans when needed.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices, track material quantities, and ensure budget compliance.
- Prepare monthly billing, schedule‑of‑values updates, change‑order logs, and project reports.
- Maintain complete project documentation and support close‑out activities.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in commercial concrete construction.
- Strong knowledge of cast‑in‑place concrete, foundations, slabs, walls, decks, rebar, formwork, and placement operations.
- Experience on commercial, multi‑family, institutional, or high‑rise projects preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost tracking, billing, change‑order management, and overall project financial control.
