Project Manager - Baggage Optimization Program

About the role

BNP Associates, Inc., a global air transportation consulting and engineering firm founded in 1971, is looking for a strategic, hands-on Project Manager for its Seattle team, focused on the Baggage Optimization Program. The role oversees planning, execution and delivery of baggage handling system projects, from construction administration through commissioning and closeout, coordinating cross-functional teams and client relationships so projects are delivered on time, within budget and to BNP's quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Baggage Optimization Program through construction, commissioning and closeout, reviewing plans, schedules, budgets and resources
• Monitor progress against scope, schedule and budget, and manage change orders, submittals and RFIs
• Coordinate design, engineering and construction teams, and inspections, commissioning and testing
• Serve as primary client contact, representing BNP in meetings and site visits and managing client expectations
• Coordinate internal teams, assign tasks, mentor junior staff and prepare project status reports
• Track project metrics and contribute to lessons-learned reviews

Required profile

• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in baggage handling systems (mechanical, electrical, controls, installation); infrastructure, engineering or construction experience a plus
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from design through completion preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• PMP or similar certification preferred but not required

Required skills

• Managing budgets, schedules and contracts on large-scale technical projects
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) preferred
• Proficiency in Word and Excel

• Salary of $95,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
