Project Manager - Airport Apron Systems (BHS)

About the role

BNP Associates, Inc., a global air transportation consulting and engineering firm founded in 1971, is looking for a Project Manager to join its airport systems consulting team. The role covers master planning, concept design, documentation, cost estimating and on-site project management through installation and commissioning. It is based in one of the U.S. offices (Denver, Chicago, Dallas, Tampa or Fairfield) and pays $90,000-$135,000 annually.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison and subject matter expert for clients and contractors
• Help the apron systems team develop equipment specifications and manage airfield layout options for aircraft parking, taxiing and maneuvering, including PBBs, 400 Hz GPUs, PCAs, AVDGS, E-GSE chargers and fixed walkways
• Work with designers, engineers and executives to coordinate reports, specifications and drawings
• Oversee aircraft parking layouts and apron equipment design and commissioning, and supervise surveys, inspections, installations and testing
• Manage project budgets and schedules, review RFIs, run system simulations and mentor project engineers and designers

Required profile

• At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably in airfield layouts or passenger boarding bridges
• Experience managing project logistics, timelines and budgets, and with large design teams
• Staff management skills and strong client communication
• Experience with field surveys, inspections and equipment tests; a background in mechanical, industrial or controls engineering is preferred
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; background check and airport security clearance required

Required skills

• Beneficial: Revit, AutoCAD, Sim 3D, AutoMod, PathPlanner and Microsoft Office
• Ability to read, interpret and develop logistics designs and concepts
