About the role

The University of Miami’s Office of the Executive Dean for Research is seeking a full‑time Project Manager 1 (H) to lead the planning, execution, and tracking of clinical research projects within the Miller School of Medicine. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with departmental goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope in collaboration with leadership and set evaluation criteria.
• Determine required resources and develop comprehensive project plans and timelines.
• Review schedules with affected staff and monitor progress, making adjustments as needed.
• Select and assign project team members, provide appropriate orientation, and manage staff according to university policies.
• Ensure quality standards are met, document all activities, and maintain secure project files.
• Create communication schedules to update stakeholders and prepare status presentations for leadership.
• Assess internal controls, ensure compliance with university policies, and train employees on relevant procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant project management experience.
