Project Coordinator - Street Lighting

About the role

Puget Sound Energy's New Product Development team is hiring a Project Coordinator for its Street Light Maintenance team. The role processes street light outages and repair requests reported by customers, using internal tools to research street light records and drive issues toward resolution. It also covers overall coordination, status reporting, financials, scheduling and stability of project-oriented work, working under one or more project managers. Work arrangements are discussed in detail during the interview.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direction to team members under the project manager.
• Facilitate communication between the project manager, service providers and internal customers, including technical support.
• Review and coordinate project documentation, technical memoranda, design plans and specifications, and manage project tasks as directed.
• Field customer concerns and work with the right parties to resolve them.
• Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers in support of project managers or senior project managers.
• Track project milestones and deliverables and report progress as directed.
• Support emergency response work as requested and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate's degree or better in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least two years of relevant work experience.
• Basic knowledge of cost estimating and scheduling concepts.
• Knowledge of utility methods, techniques and procedures for budgeting, procurement and contract administration.
• Ability to make independent decisions, influence others and resolve issues.

Desired qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management or a related discipline.
• Experience managing non-complex projects or programs, and project management training.
• Advanced project management training and certification from an accredited institution such as PMI.
