Project Accountant – Mission Critical

About the role

Alston Construction is seeking a Project Accountant to provide timely and accurate accounting services across multiple construction projects. The role focuses on financial analysis, budget monitoring, and supporting project profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and communicate project financial data against established budgets.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and other stakeholders on contract documents, change orders, and billing approvals.
• Create and oversee the processing of owner contracts and monthly owner draws.
• Report cost status of General Conditions and overall project costs to Project Managers.
• Generate monthly cost reports and identify opportunities to maximize client billing.
• Execute lien notices for subcontractors.
• Recommend improvements to department processes and participate in monthly project review meetings.

Required profile

• Experience providing project accounting services on multiple construction projects.
• Ability to analyze financial performance and communicate findings effectively.
• Strong collaboration skills with Project Managers and senior leadership.
• Detail‑oriented approach to contract administration and billing.
