Programmer 3 – My Wellness Research Web Applications

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC (Crane Lab) is seeking a full‑time Programmer 3 to join the My Wellness research team on the UHealth campus in Miami. You will work within an interdisciplinary group of research scientists, data engineers, and full‑stack developers to design, build, and maintain web applications that support cancer research initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze problem areas, design, and implement system improvements.
• Organize data files, create flowcharts, and document procedures.
• Develop, test, implement, and document program logic and controls.
• Prepare test data, analyze program performance, and produce conversion procedures.
• Generate computerized personnel and budget reports for negotiations.
• Produce status reports on personnel activity, projects, and programs.
• Participate in user consulting, systems analysis, design, and vendor contract activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum five years of relevant programming or software engineering experience.
• Strong learning agility to adopt new technologies and protocols.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
