About the role
The University of Maryland’s Education Abroad office seeks a Program Manager to design, implement, and oversee study‑abroad programs that support academic colleges and enhance students' global learning experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver study‑abroad programming aligned with the priorities of designated academic colleges.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Education Abroad and academic departments, expanding access to global learning opportunities.
- Collaborate with faculty and academic leadership to curate a portfolio of programs that meet curricular outcomes.
- Partner with directors of undergraduate and graduate studies to integrate study abroad into discipline‑specific learning.
- Guide Education Abroad Advisors in outreach, advising, recruitment, admissions, and pre‑departure support.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of a designated portfolio of programs, including new program development and relationship management.
Required profile
- Master’s degree (preferred).
- Volunteer or work experience related to intercultural issues or diverse settings.
- Experience with program development and curriculum integration.
- Participation or leadership in regional or national education initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, academic leadership, and staff.
