Program Coordinator – Behavioral Health

About the role

The Program Coordinator oversees client and employee welfare, ensures compliance with licensing and legal requirements, and manages the day‑to‑day operations of a residential behavioral health facility. This position reports to the Operations Manager and is essential for maintaining high‑quality recovery services.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and evaluate facility staff, handling compensation adjustments, discipline, and termination.
• Ensure compliance with Arizona Department of Health Services regulations, federal rules, and internal policies.
• Resolve resident conflicts, provide therapeutic interventions, and support clients in crisis.
• Maintain facility upkeep, inventories, and coordinate client arrivals and departures.
• Be available 24/7 for emergencies and manage communications with external agencies.

Required profile

• Must meet Arizona Department of Health Services personnel requirements (age 21+, appropriate licensure, CPR/First Aid/Narcan certification, negative TB test, fingerprint clearance).
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in behavioral health or addiction services.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced residential setting and meet physical demands of the role.
