Production Technician

About the role

West Fraser is seeking a Production Technician to operate and support machinery that manufactures oriented strand board (OSB). The role is essential for maintaining safety, product quality, and production targets in a fast‑paced plant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate OSB manufacturing equipment and related mobile equipment such as forklifts.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions promptly.
• Complete shift paperwork, recordkeeping, and attend team meetings and training.
• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work a rotating 12‑hour schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attendance record and ability to work collaboratively.
• Openness to cross‑training on new tasks and skills.
