Production Supervisor – Pouching Operations

About the role

The Production Supervisor – Pouching Operations provides hands‑on leadership for automated pouching and related production areas. You will direct employees, meet schedule and quality targets, and ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations in pouching, compounding or related lines to achieve volume, quality, efficiency and service goals.
• Assign work, coordinate staffing and provide day‑to‑day direction to operators, technicians, mechanics and team leads.
• Verify raw materials, components and packaging are correctly received, staged, verified and available for uninterrupted production.
• Monitor performance, equipment condition, yields, waste and downtime; take corrective action and escalate risks.
• Ensure accurate completion of batch records, inventory transactions, maintenance logs and traceability documentation.
• Partner with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, Planning and R&D to resolve operational issues and support new product introductions.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience in a regulated CPG environment and 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated ability to train, coach and evaluate a diverse production team.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of GMP, OSHA, sanitation, inventory control and batch record documentation.
• Experience with root‑cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency with ERP/MES systems (e.g., NetSuite) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with automated packaging equipment and high‑speed pouching machinery.
• Forklift certification or experience.
