Production Supervisor - Night Shift (Rotating Days Off)

About the role

Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor, is looking for a Production Supervisor for its night shift in Tulare. The role works with plant management and other supervisors to direct and monitor production staff, ensure procedures are followed and supervise employees' daily activities. Rotating days off are offered.

Key responsibilities

• Assign, direct, review and monitor the work of supervised staff to maximize plant productivity.
• Ensure procedures are in place for production efficiency, product quality, employee safety and state and federal guidelines.
• Inspect products for conformance to specifications and direct machine setup and adjustments.
• Coordinate production schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for each production run.
• Complete paperwork such as production and packaging records, cleaning and sanitation lists, schedules, accident reports and investigations.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, recommend improvements to methods, equipment and product quality, and train employees on production and equipment standards.
• Supervise employees' scheduling and daily activities, including selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action and performance management, and support progressive discipline with Human Resources.
• Promote safety programs, participate in grievance resolution and contract-related discussions, and enforce company policies and the Saputo code of ethics.

Required profile

• One to three years of supervisory experience in a food packaging environment preferred.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Experience leading and following safety and security policies and procedures.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Flexible hours, including weekends, to support plant operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organization, prioritization, attention to detail and teamwork.
