Production Supervisor C Crew

About the role

A mid-level Production Supervisor position with limited complexity, managing the daily production function within a plant for a single production line or specific area for one shift. The role focuses on developing, managing and motivating production personnel to increase productivity and improve efficiency. It is based at Bridgewater Interiors II.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise production team members and direct their daily activities in line with organizational policies and applicable laws
• Follow the collective bargaining agreement, plant rules, safety rules, attendance policy and other production-related programs
• Take appropriate action on employee performance and behaviour
• Ensure compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations and production standards, and efficient equipment use
• Review production orders for product data and plan operations, priorities and sequences
• Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing to meet specifications and exceed customer expectations
• Review reports, resolve manufacturing and maintenance problems and inspect machines and equipment
• Compile, store and retrieve production data, and develop or revise standard operating practices
• Maintain safety and housekeeping practices and train employees on safe, efficient equipment operation
• Provide coaching and training and promote all health, safety and environmental policies

Required profile

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility
• Experience in a J-I-T automotive sequencing environment preferred
• Union experience is a plus
• Ability to work the C Crew schedule: Friday and Saturday 6am-4:30pm, Sunday and Monday 6pm-4:30am
